No one can lay claim to an education worth the name unless it has left him with an enduring habit of reading for pleasure. Library and Documentation Centre is central to much of the School life. It is a place for research, information and updating of knowledge. It feeds the heart and the imagination as well as the mind. In addition to the growing number of books, it has internet facility to support advanced and instant research. The mastery of a library facility is an essential skill in life.

Each boy is strongly encouraged to have a book out on loan, which he can turn to in quieter hours of the day. Each form has one period per week reserved for the library, a time when staff is on hand to guide the boys in their choice of reading matter. In this, as in other spheres of the School life, the boys are encouraged to tackle the unfamiliar, not simply pursue what is already known or of interest.
